To become great at your given sport you have to believe you are GREAT. Not just good or okay, but GREAT. One has to have the single minded focus. Law of attraction states You Become What You FOCUS ON THE MOST or Your THOUGHTS Create Your Life Circumstances. Almost all people that I have met who can boast their sporting prowess or even those who have achieved that life ambitions have utilised these methods.
” Blakie: Believe you can run the four-minute mile
‘Faith is a passionate intuitions.’ William Wordsworth
You have to believe in what it is you are trying to achieve. Without that belief you’ve little chance to accomplishing anything of worth. The winners in life have a feeling of certainty that they are going to achieve what they set out to achieve. They want to win, they set out to win, and they do just that WIN.
They don’t actually consider in much depth, if at all, the prospect of failing. Even if they don’t succeed in a particulat task, they are likley to consider that the circimstances which engulfed this task were beyond their control and therefore their loss – the failure in their eyes – can be dismissed as the result of these external influences, I am not suggesting they’d openly voice this reasoning though. In fact, I’d go as far as to suggest the contrary, as in many situations they would appear humble, self-effacing and absolutely accountable to the outside world. But they’d probably also be saying something rather different to themselves, repeating the message that they will the next time out so as to recharge their confidence. They have to believe that the loss they have encountered does not represent or reflect the true extent of their abilities. Such winning individuals let the experience go and move on. This is because mose successful people don’t subscribe, or dwell upon, excuses. You can’t make excuses and be a high-achiever. You can only do one or be the other. It’s a CHOICE.”
