Attitude, Will & Consistency Thursday 22-4-2010

Thursday 22-4-2010 Today  is a rest for me, no clients and so decided to put down a few words as I have been criticised about the toughness of our training methods. Well here goes my rant…

Attitude, Will & Consistency

It requires a certain type of person to take part in an exercise program with us. That certain quality required is your ATTITUDE and your WILL. Having is the right “attitude” without ego, a positive mind set and the ability to guide others without that superiority complex. Your “will” goes hand in hand with your attitude as you will require it to complete the task at hand. This goes for everything that life throws at you. Training does more than just train the physical it trains you mentally too. Perhaps one other thing which is worth mentioning in order to get results  whatever yours might be and it is CONSISTENCY.

Most individuals attend our classes with the right attitude. But something changes. They may use money, work or family commitment as a reason to stop training. Without accusations and for some this may be the genuine reasons but I do feel that this isn’t always true. Yes I admit nothing about the training is easy. It is not meant to be. Purely because each and every one of us come here to challenge our former self. It is not a competition with your peer but with yourself. It is our own self-worth that we are challenging. I recall my old martial arts instructor shouting at me, while I was in the middle of 2/3 minutes mass attack training drill where I was getting hit from every direction by 10 or so of my peers, “keep going, it ‘s not going to last forever”. So while you are in one of our training sessions,  it is just 45 minutes of grueling hard work  but it will empower you  and make you feel on top of the world once you have completed it.

Maybe after reading this ,  you are going to give us a widebirth or maybe, just maybe you will make that change, from your sedentary lifestyle or from the usual gym programs that you have been following for years. It is your CHOICE and we all have choices to make. This is one very simply decision you have to make, CHANGE.

“Life has just three rules?… Paradox, humour, and change. Paradox… Life is a mystery. Don’t waste time trying to figure it out. Humour… Keep a sense of humour, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure. Change… Know that nothing stays the same.”
