Shake it Right

Sunday’s I like my cooked breakfast. You know, eggs, bacon, beans, toast… oh with some strawberry jam. I’ll admit to break some of my own weekdays rules. But hey I am only human.

“To err… is human. To forgive is Divine”

But I wanted to tell you more about something that I have been trying out and also some my girls and guys training with as well. Its nothing revolutionary, and very simple. I am replacing some breakfasts and some lunches with shakes, yes protein shakes, well more like power smoothies. I did say its nothing revolutionary, but with my own twist. Basically you get the great nutrients and a good start to the day or instead of hot food in this hot days its nice to have something cool which is not salad. As for me I am always busy and rather than skip lunch I blend me a shake.

So here is a couple of recipe that I have been trying out over the last few weeks.

Here is one I made earlier (well not today cause that would be a lie, today is eggs and bacon…):
1 scoop of Whey protein (approx 34 grams)
1 tablespoon of Fine Oats
Handful of frozen blueberries
Handful of frozen raspberries
2 scoop of Mega Greens, Super Greens or Greens food powder supplements
1/2 teaspoon of Manuka Honey
125ml of Water
Now Blend
And wallah there you have it.

Another one to give you a little more variety:
100ml Almond or Oat Milk
1 scoop of Whey
1 tablespoon of Fine Oats
5 pieces of Strawberries
1 small Banana
1 teaspoon of Peanut Butter
1/2 bag of Fresh Baby Spinach (it surprising works or maybe its just my pallet)
Now Blend and enjoy.

If you are on the go and do not have access to a blender then here is one for you:
Prepare the following:
1 scoop of Whey
1 table spoon of Fine Oats
2 scoop of Mega Greens, Super Greens or Greens food powder supplements
1 tablespoon of blended of seeds
Then when needed add water and thats it. This is great a meal replacement, pre workout snack or post workout shake.
